A Note from Sue
Like me, I am sure you are hoping that this month will be the last monthly meeting for a long, long time that we have to conduct by Zoom! That said, Zoom has been an invaluable asset these past 2 years allowing those who want to, the opportunity to connect to each other via the web. Without it, I for one would have felt the effects of the pandemic even more so. That is why I find Cheshire Federation's new initiative so exciting. This month will see the launch of a completely new Virtual WI. If you know of anyone who might be interested in attending the launch meeting on the 23rd February, please get in touch with Angela on firstname.lastname@example.org. And remember, if you are not quite ready to meet up in person, Lesley will deliver the face-to-face meeting in March via Zoom; as you are probably aware, these meetings are referred to as hybrid meetings. If you would like to Zoom in to a hybrid meeting, please contact.
I look forward to seeing a number of you on Zoom on the 17th February and feel very excited about meeting up in person on the 17th March.
In the meantime, take good care and stay safe.
With very best wishes,
Many happy returns to members who celebrate their birthday in February

Membership renewal-The WI membership year now runs from April to March. Subscriptions for 2022-23 are due to be paid by 1st April 2022. As our reserves have reduced rather than increased over the pandemic, the committee have decided to set the subscription at the level recommended by NFWI. This is the same as last year: £44 for full members and £21.60 for dual members who have nominated The Heatons as their second institute. Within the next few weeks you will be receiving a pack with two forms to complete and instructions on how you can pay your 2022-23 subscription. We prefer to receive the payment by BACS. You can also pay by cheque or cash either in person at the March meeting or by post. We prefer that you do not send cash by post. Details of how you can post or hand deliver cheques/cash will be included in your membership pack.
Website-Thanks to the excellent work by Gordon Rogers, the Heatons Hub IT expert, we now have a new website. It can still be found at the same domain name, which is www.theheatonswi.com. It is still a work in progress as more information is added but is worth a visit.

We will rely on your honesty not to use search engines and to mark your answers fairly. If you would like to enter it is £1 per team, which we will collect from your rep at the spring meeting.
