A Note from Sue
A sincere thank you to all those members who helped and supported our first fundraising efforts on Sunday 10th July. We made in excess of £247, which will be split 50/50 between Signpost for Carers and for ourselves. We also had a lot of interest in our WI so, hopefully, we will gain some new members. A very successful day indeed!
At this month's meeting we are going to learn a lot about hairdressing through the ages and the competition is a photo of a humorous or disastrous hairdo - I can't wait to see the entries.
With reference to our monthly meetings, I would like to politely remind members not to remove chairs and add them to other tables. We decided to limit chairs to 6 around each table in order to make members feel a little easier whilst Covid is still causing problems, and as we all know, the numbers are creeping up again. But it is not only issues related to Covid that I ask that chairs remain in place, there is another reason. Removing chairs from one table to increase the numbers sitting around another table actually diminishes the meeting experience for the 3 or 4 members where the chairs have been removed.
With very best wishes,
Many happy returns to members who celebrate their birthday in July
Ann Marshall, Chris Tompkinson, Liz Benton, Pat Flatley, Kate W.
