Take good care.

With very best wishes,

Heatons WI News

Subscription renewal-The committee have been busy hand-delivering recycled envelopes containing details of our subscription renewal process and the renewal forms. This is a reminder that your 2022-3 subscription is due by the end of March. Please pay by BACS if possible. Payments by cheque or cash can be made at the March meeting. Once your subscription has been processed you will be given a receipt, a printed card of next year’s programme, and a WI booklet of special offers!

Charity Vote-We will be voting for our chosen charity at the March monthly meeting on Thursday, 17th.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, you can still vote by emailing Sally, the name of your preferred charity by 6 pm on Wednesday, 16th March. A summary of each charity is attached to this newsletter.

Would email buddies please pass this message on and let Sally know of any votes if necessary?

Having spoken to Tiff, who nominated Smart Works, the Committee and Tiff believe support of this charity could run alongside one of the other charities by collecting suitable clothing and accessories, supporting their events in person, holding a "swish" and having a collection of new tights at one monthly meeting, rather than raising funds. We will ask you to indicate whether you are happy with this suggestion when you vote later this month.

Planning Team-As yet, no volunteers have come forward to take over the planning of speakers for the monthly meetings. Suze will attend the March monthly meeting to encourage members to volunteer. The retiring team are willing to hold a meeting to explain the duties to anyone who is interested in joining a new team.

Resolution 2022 Result-The result of the national vote for this year’s resolution was in support of “Women and Girls with ASD and ADHD” and this will be put forward to the Annual Meeting in June.

Rota-The rota for the next year is available on the sign up table. Please add your name to a slot.

Trading Table-We are looking to reinstate the trading table at the April monthly meeting. If you would like to donate items please bring them along. There will be an honesty box and all money raised will go to our funds. Any leftover items will be taken to a local charity shop.

Ukraine Relief Appeal-There will be a collection pot for this appeal at the monthly meeting if anyone would like to contribute.

Given that there are strict rules about the WI collecting money for National and International charities, any money donated at this event will be as a friend of Anna’s and not as a member of the WI.
