A Message from Kate
The August social was a great success with all the different challenges-I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did. I would like to thank Chris and Jane for all their hard work in making it such a great evening. They worked so hard preparing both the activities and Jane also did a sterling job preparing the delicious fruit punch. Thank you also to Sue for shopping for the nibbles for us.
We are always looking for new ideas and ways of evolving and improving our WI and that is why we need new members joining our committee. Please think about it and talk to one of the current committee members for more details. We really do need you.
This month’s meeting should be useful for us all as we welcome Sarah Hughes who will be talking to us about ‘Protecting your nest egg’. I am also interested in hearing all the money saving tips from the competition entries. We will also be celebrating 110 years of the WI with special cakes baked by Kate Wragg-thank you Kate for your hard work in making these special cakes. I look forward to seeing you all at the meeting.
Best wishes
Kate

IMPORTANT NOTICE-Register and Evacuation Procedure-It is important that you sign in BEFORE finding a seat at the beginning of the meeting. This is for your safety as, if we have missed adding you to the register and we have to evacuate the building, we will not have an accurate record of who is in attendance. This also applies if you arrive late or leave the meeting early. Please let Linda McD. know or Sally in Linda’s absence. Our evacuation meeting point is on the field opposite the car park entrance.
